17-4 stainless steel coil is a martensitic precipitation-hardening alloy. It has high strength, high hardness, good welding performance and corrosion resistance. It is a precipitation hardening steel with copper added.
Precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel composed of copper and niobium/column has a low carbon content, better corrosion resistance and weldability than general martensitic stainless steel, similar to 18-8 stainless steel, simple heat treatment process, good machinability, but difficult to meet deep cold processing.

17-4 stainless steel coil, also known as 17-4PH or UNS S17400, is a high-performance martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel.
Its features include high strength and high hardness, good corrosion resistance, excellent heat treatment response, good machinability and weldability.
After proper heat treatment, 17-4PH can achieve very high tensile strength and hardness, which makes it very suitable for use in high load and high stress environments. After heat treatment, its excellent stability is revealed. Despite its high hardness, it does not affect its easy processing and welding characteristics, making it suitable for large-scale production. In addition, its corrosion resistance makes it very suitable for use in corrosive media such as seawater, acid and alkali.
