AISI 316L Coil is a low-carbon chromium-nickel-molybdenum stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and good mechanical properties. Its main components include iron, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, etc., which give it excellent resistance to salt water and chloride corrosion. 316L stainless steel is easy to process, weld and form, and is widely used in many fields such as petroleum, chemical, medical, food, construction, etc. It is an indispensable high-performance material.

Most of the AISI 316L Coil currently available on the market is produced according to the American standard. The Ni content of 316L is 10-14%, while the Japanese standard is 12-15%. There is a huge price difference, and customers need to distinguish between ASTM and JIS standards when purchasing this product.

Product Feature And Application

AISI 316L Coil is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, especially in chloride environments, thanks to its high content of chromium, nickel and molybdenum. The low-carbon design enhances welding performance and avoids intergranular corrosion. It is widely used in marine engineering, chemical equipment, food processing and medical equipment due to its high strength, high temperature resistance and easy cleaning and maintenance.

When temperatures exceed 800℃, AISI 316L Coil retains its excellent physical, mechanical properties, as well as chemical stability. Nonetheless, prolonged exposure between 800 and 1575℃ should be shunned to prevent any decline in performance. It is utilized in automotive trim, exhaust system components, tubular headers, mufflers/manifolds, and various other parts.
